MALAWI PRESIDENTIAL JET WAS LEGALLY SOLD

COMPUTURER REPAIRS AND PHONE

It seems that most of our learned men in out society are not very familia with how govt is run and how govt business is conducted. A lot of people have talked about the Presidential jet which was sold during the reigns of HE Dr Joyce Banda. Let us get back to our history prior the purchase of the jet. Malawians never wanted late President Bingu Wa Mutharika to buy the jet. In 2011 during the historical July demonstration CSOs demanded that the jet be solid. Dr Joyce Banda took over in 2012 and the demands were still there and valid. Never can a president sell a govt property without proper channels and that is done by technocrats.
Let everyone out there know that the decision to sell the jet was a cabinet decision and those who know the running of govts know that when a matter is decided upon by cabinet the rest of implementation of that decision rests in the hands of the officials. No plane could have been sold without the final signing of the attorney general. If you want to know more these people are alive including Mr Mondiwa, and they have all the required information on how it went and how was the money used for.
On cashgate it shall remain fact and history shall judge fairly in the future that JOYCE BANDA shall remain the only president that tackled theft of public funds head on. Forensic audit. Work plan to clean it altogether, appoint a MINISTER RESPONSIBLE FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE, and arrests. Which other government has had that political will.
It must also be noted that Her Excellency Dr Joyce Banda has been declaring her assets from 2004 to 2017. Even post presidency she is still declaring. She is also the president that took an updated ASSETS DECLARATION BILL to parliament in 2014 and assented to it. One that requires that more officers should declare their assets before and after office. Those who continue to head their parties must also continue to declare assets.
